Wearing the correct uniform and grooming during classes is an important aspect of the children’s dance training. Dance is a disciplined art form that not only develops the artistic and creative side of the students but also self-confidence and personal pride.
Ballet student’s hair is to be worn in a secure bun with pins and a hair net. If the hair has been cut above the shoulders then a headband is to be worn.
Jazz, Musical Theatre and Contemporary students are also asked to wear their hair pulled off their face in a ponytail. At no time should hair be worn loose.
Students are to wear the correct uniform including footwear to every class. No baggy clothing or jewellery should be worn to class and all items of clothing including shoes must be named.
